A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Deakin University and Hydro-Québec IREC on December 9 2016 to formalise the collaboration between Hydro-Québec and Deakin’s Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM).

The common goal is to provide a basis for licensing and technology transfer of lithium metal polymer batteries and for the development and prototyping of sodium batteries.
